If you wear contact lenses, then the chances are good that you’ve ordered contacts online in the past. This is a convenient way to get top name brand lenses at very competitive prices. Though the process if fairly straightforward, there are a few things to watch out for. We go over those below so that you can enjoy a good shopping experience and get the contact lenses, eye drops and other products you need.

The Prescription

You may be really familiar with this, but still get in a hurry and read the prescription wrong. Just as when entering credit card numbers, it’s a good idea to double check everything before pressing the “Send” button. If you’ve entered the wrong prescription, then let us know right away. Sometimes wearers don’t even realize that they’ve done this until they put the new lenses in their eyes and start having problems. Double check everything from the time you order, till the time you receive your new contact lenses.

The Contact Lens

Sometimes manufacturers do change their processes for a variety of reasons. So that’s why you need to check your lenses to make sure they’re exactly what you ordered. Even if the curvature is a bit different than what you’re used to, it can cause a problem with your vision. Your eyes might get irritated or your vision feel strained. Sometimes your eyes will adjust if given time, and sometimes they won’t.

Online Ordering is Convenient

It’s so convenient these days to just order everything online and have it delivered to your door. Of course, we all occasionally experience problems. Maybe you overlooked something as you were ordering. Or maybe the product itself has changed a bit. When it comes to contact lenses, there’s not much room for error. If you get a lens that doesn’t fit properly or has the wrong prescription, it can cause a lot of problems. Be sure to contact customer service right away.
