Off all the supplements on the market weight loss and energy supplements are some of the most over marketed yet least understood supplements available. With the constant exposure to marketing, the influx of new weight loss drugs, and the banning of others you have to wonder what is the best weight loss supplement?

An even more important question racing through your mind is, can help me lose weight and melt away stubborn belly fat.

Before I tell you what supplement will give you that flat stomach and help you lose weight let me tell you how they work. Your cells mitochondria are responsible for weight loss. Because theses little guys are responsible for the burning of fat they are often referred to as “cellular power plants” or “little furnaces.” It is in the mitochondria that most of the body’s fat and food energy is turned into adenosine triphosphate. Adenosine triphosphate or ATP for short is important because it is the energy used to contract our muscles and allow us to move, run, breath and everything else we do on a daily basis. When we are healthy and the body is working well these little furnaces or cellular power plants metabolize our body’s fat reserves for energy.

As we age our metabolism starts to slow, there is a big drop between 20 and 60. You may already know this as you see your waist line grow over the past few years. Between the ages of twenty and sixty your ability to properly process energy is reduced by about fifty percent, that is a big decline in your metabolism. So you continue to exercise but the flat stomach gradually fades and you see the weight increase.

One other thing you have to consider is the production of free radicals. A byproduct of energy production are free radicals. Free radicals are a concern in fat loss because they cause cellular and mitochondrial damage, and as you recall the mitochondria are responsible for burning fat. This damage to your cellular power plants further reduces your metabolism causing your body to store the excess energy as fat.

Now, to get back to supplements and how they can help you lose weight and flatten your stomach. There is plenty of research done to show that a combination of green tea extract along with supplemental caffeine may be able to support the mitochondria in their fat burning efforts.

Most everyone has heard of caffeine as it is found in everything from Coke to chocolate. Caffeine is an adrenal stimulant that can increase blood pressure, raise your heart rate, and help you feel like you have more energy. But do not be fooled. It is important to note that caffeine alone does not do all that much to help burn fat. You will see it in many supplement products because it is a stimulant and you can often feel it in your system, thinking you are burning more fat.

Green tea extract supplementation provides your body with several potent antioxidants to battle and deactivate the free radicals floating around in your cells.

Here is the catch. Without the addition of the green tea extract the caffeine by itself is not doing all that much. Once the two are together the magic happens, there is a synergistic effect. The two together cause a fat burning weight loss, stomach flattening effect.

Note:

Two hundred mg of caffeine is a lot, that is in the range of three cups of coffee. Because caffeine is a stimulant you will need to make sure you do not take too much. Many other products, like pop or soda contain caffeine you will have to watch what you ingest, for health issues you will not want to exceed five hundred milligrams of caffeine per day.
